Lessons from the Puzzle (Fitting the Pieces Together)

When I look back over my life, it seems as though one day I woke up and my life looked like a puzzle I had just opened and poured out of the box (My Sister helped me to see it this way). All the pieces were there, but they were a jumbled mess. Some were upside down and all I could see was the brown cardboard backing. Others were hidden under the other pieces. But, they were all there…

The problem I used to have was that I didn’t realize that I needed clarity. As a matter of fact, I was so busy blaming every body for taking my pieces or dumping me out of the box, that I never realized that all my pieces were there. When I finally realized that the pieces are there, and that I just needed to turn them around and get them in the right place, my life started getting better and clearer. The greatest part is that the more pieces I put in place, the fewer misplaced pieces there are left. It also makes finding the spots for those pieces a lot easier too. Continue reading

More Lessons From the Puzzle (Life on the Edge)

Noticing that we are all different and yet, all the same, has helped me a lot in life and in business. I’ve begun to realize that just because I wouldn’t buy a certain item doesn’t mean it won’t make someone a lot of money – look at the Instyler or remember the pet rock? We all see and appreciate different things. That doesn’t mean that one of us is wrong and the other is right, it just means we complement each other well. Lessons I’ve Learned From a Jigsaw Puzzle

Each morning, as I passed the puzzle, I heard it calling my name. It was almost irresistible. I would stop to put in one small piece and before I knew it, I had spent an hour working on the puzzle. Just as I suspected, it was wasting all my time. I could have gotten so much done during that hour that I had wasted on that puzzle! I don’t like to waste time! Continue reading
