Getting in Shape update

Beautiful trees in my yard with their fall foliage

It was a beautiful day here in Middle Tennessee yesterday. The trees and flowers were absolutely gorgeous!

It was a GREAT day for a walk with my son, Mason, and our dog Roxie. The weather was PERFECT!

Usually, I feel like I don’t have time to walk, but I’m determined to walk every day that I possibly can. Walking really does make me feel better, even though, sometimes I really dread it, once I’ve done it, I’m really glad that I did.

I usually walk around my neighborhood – I have some pretty good hills and valleys around here that give me a pretty good work out.

In the past, I’ve started these promises to myself that I will walk every day and then, eventually, my bladder pain will be too bad for me to get my walk in for the day (I’ve had bladder problems for several years now). Instead of just taking the day off, I get frustrated because I can’t keep up my routine and quit walking altogether.

That really sounds so stupid when I write it out, but that’s exactly what has happened. I get frustrated that my body won’t cooperate and I just quit.

Or, the weather doesn’t cooperate and I can’t go outside to get my walk in. Again, I get frustrated and quit.

This time, I’m prepared! I bought a Walking DVD, Leslie Sansone: Walk Away the Pounds – 5-Day Fit Walk, to keep me motivated to walk inside when the weather won’t cooperate. And I’ve come up with other exercise solutions that won’t hurt my bladder when it’s not cooperating. Just because something won’t cooperate, whether it’s the weather or my body, that doesn’t mean I have to quit. I will just come up with other solutions.

I also started Yoga. I have a couple of DVD’s, A.M. Yoga for Your Week
and Yoga For Beginners,
that I’ve used in the past when I thought I would get into the Yoga craze. I didn’t stick with it then because I thought I was too busy. I was busy and I’m busy now, but I now realize that my wellness MUST come first and I am worth the time it takes to keep my mind and body in shape. I deserve the attention.

I am really loving the Yoga this time. I did it twice yesterday – in the morning and then at night. I felt so much better all day yesterday and I slept so much better last night! I am really SORE today! I only did the beginner stretches, but wow! They really worked I guess. I already feel stronger and more in-control of my body. I think Yoga is something I can do even when my bladder decides not to cooperate :)

I also joined Marna’s 30 day blaster challenge (click on the thin store). I got my first email this morning. I’m really excited about this program and hope that it gives my brain and emotions the workout they need to help me accomplish my goal. I know that by Thanksgiving, I am going to be feeling better and will have more energy than I’ve had in a very long time.

I am focusing on wellness. And since wellness naturally flows to me, once I stop resisting the wellness with stress, worry, and stinking thinking, my body will respond favorably. I am excited about the changes I’m about to see in my mind and body!

I’m also excited about the changes I’m going to see in my business! I KNOW that since I will be feeling better and will have more energy, every part of my life will benefit, including my business!

Stay tuned! I would love for you to join me in my quest for wellness!
