Pretty Yellow Flowers

yellow-flower.jpg Oh, how I wish I knew the names of flowers. This one was absolutely beautiful. I found it in one of my neighbor’s yards as I took my daily walk. I have some very talented neighbors when it comes to gardening and growing things.

My thumb is the furthest thing from green, but I sure do like the beautiful plants and flowers as I walk each day! I would love to hear from some of you experts as to what kind of flower this is.

The Pfunky Griddle

It’s been several weeks ago now, but I took the kids to a new restaurant here in our area. We had a BLAST!! The restaurant is called The Pfunky Griddle (called that because the owner is Penelope Pfunter).

There is a griddle built in to the middle of each table in the restaurant. They brought out their special 5 grain organic pancake mix, as well as regular pancake mix, and let us make our own pancakes at our table. It’s all the pancakes you can eat for $6.50 per person and they are absolutely amazing! We all liked the organic pancakes the best. You can also get french toast, eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, sandwiches and other food, but we prefer the pancakes!

You can also get all kinds of things to add to your pancakes. Our favorites were pecans and chocolate chips. You get a small bowl of each item for $1.50 each. The kids really enjoyed cooking their own pancakes and making their own personalized pancakes under the trees! (You’ll notice I have a shy one!)

We really had a great time and plan to go back soon! And we appreciate the kindness and hospitality we were shown by the manager. So, when you are in Nashville, TN I highly recommend The Pfunky Griddle on Bransford Avenue for great-tasting pancakes!
