I CAN!!

Monday, July 16th, 2007

In my daily reading this morning, it was brought to my attention (again) the importance of eleminating the words, “I can’t”, from our vocabulary. We should NEVER, EVER say those words. Something very strange happens in our brain when we use those words - we really believe what we say and so, then, we really can’t. The more I study and learn, the more I realize that our words are VERY powerful! What comes out of our mouth has so much power that it will determine the course of our life.

I am going to really eliminate these words from my vocabulary. And I’m going to encourage everyone around me to do the same. I’m going to make those words dirty words in my house and forbid my children to ever use those words! YOU CAN!! You CAN do anything you set your mind to do. ANYTHING is possible with God. Don’t limit yourself - or God - by saying you can’t.

Join me in catching myself every time I use these words, I Can’t, and replacing them with I CAN!!!

Make your dreams come true by keeping your vision board in front of you! You can make your own vision board here.

Why Do We Do The Things We Do?

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

Our brain is an amazing thing! It’s much like a computer with programs recorded on it’s hard drive. When a sensor is triggered, then certain programs are executed. The programs in our mind are written by repetition over time and they make up our responses to certain situations.

We have good and bad programs in our brain. Wouldn’t it be cool if we could re-program our brains to only run the good programs? To replace the bad programs with the good programs? Here’s the good news: We Can!!!

The first step is to be aware of the programs that you have residing in your brain. Identify the good programs and the bad. Once you’ve got them identified and realize their triggers, then work to replace those undesirable programs with more desirable programs in your mind.

How? The programs were put there first by repetition, so use repetition to rewrite those programs. When you run into a trigger, realize that the original program is about to run and then short-circuit that program. Do something different. Start the new, more desirable program. If you are consistent and really notice when the triggers are present and then work hard to replace the undesirable programs with more desirable programs, you can change your life! You can rebuild and improve your identity.

Your mind only acts on what you TRULY believe. The keyword here is TRULY. I can say all day that I am not afraid of snakes, but if a snake crawls up beside me, you and I will find out what I TRULY believe. But, if I tell myself enough that I’m not afraid of snakes, eventually, I will really begin to believe that. I have to say it with feeling and emotion - I have to really start saying it with conviction and power so that I make my mind believe what I’m saying. I have to get it into my sub-conscious brain power level.

Visualizing will also help this process. If I can see myself being around snakes and not being scared, then eventually, I will begin to believe that I am not afraid of snakes. A good way to visualize the things you want to bring about is to create vision boards of all your dreams and goals. You can create your own vision board online using our Catalog of Dreams. This is a good way to keep those dreams and desires for change in front of you. Try out the demo to see just how easy it is to create your own vision board. Try it today!!! Believe It Can Happen

Friday, July 13th, 2007

Many times what we think can and will happen, is just what happens. We limit ourselves so much by our belief system. When we really believe that something can happen, then it will. And when we believe it can’t, it won’t. Those doubts that creep into our beliefs kill our dreams.

What are your dreams? Do you believe… REALLY believe… that they CAN happen? I like the saying, “When I believe it, I’ll see it”. I’m not sure who should get the credit for that quote, but it’s very true. Most of the things we don’t have, is because we don’t really believe that we CAN have them. Our beliefs are what really decide what can and can’t happen.

As I homeschool my children, I try to instill in them the belief that ANYTHING is possible if they BELIEVE that it can happen. Anything is possible with God. So, whatever your dream, believe that it IS possible and that it CAN happen. It certainly won’t come to pass if you believe it can’t happen.

Dream BIG! And BELIEVE in your DREAMS!!! Then watch your dreams come true!!

Dream Again

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

Something seems to happen to us when we grow up. We forget to dream. I don’t think it has to happen, but it often does. We are told that our dreams are crazy or they are impossible or we can’t do them for whatever reason, and so we begin to believe that they will never happen. So, we quit dreaming.

Can you think of a childhood dream that you had? Can you remember when that dream died? Or can you remember when that dream became a reality? To those of you who realized your dream, I applaud you! For those of us that let our dreams die, I encourage you to dream again! It’s never too late to pick up that dream again, dust it off, and give it new life!! Our dreams can come true! But, first we must believe that they can.

Don’t pick up someone else’s dream. Pick up your own. Many of us are living the dream that someone else had for our lives. We must follow our own… not someone else’s dream for our life. Many of us let someone else’s dream for us become our own only because we didn’t want to hurt their feelings or because we wanted to avoid conflict. It’s time to pick up your OWN dream again and pursue it with all your might!!

So, how do you make those dreams come true? Write them down in full detail. Make a dream board or vision board and keep it in front of you as much as possible. Visualize yourself actually living your dream. Make it as real in your mind as you possibly can. Put yourself in that dream as much as physically possible. If your dream is a new car, then go test drive that car. If your dream is a new house, find that house or that house plan and really see yourself inside that house. If possible, meet the owners and go inside that house and then remember the feelings associated with being in that house. Make your mind focus on owning that house and how it feels to own that house.

It’s important to see yourself living your dream in your mind. Then your mind will find a way to make that happen. The how is not important right now. Only the dream is important. Don’t get to the end of your life and look back at unfulfilled dreams. Get there and look back at a fulfilled life and many realized dreams!!

To help you visualize your dreams, my friends and I have created an online vision board. You can create your own vision board using pictures and text and then print it out so that you can keep it in front of you!

Keeping your dreams in front of you as much as possible really works to make those dreams a reality!

Start dreaming again today!! Get your own online dream board here.
