We Survived Panama City Beach!!

Thursday, June 29th, 2006

We have returned from our week-long stay in Panama City Beach. I think I’ve recuperated and finally gotten back in the swing of things, although it hasn’t been easy. I am always SO overwhelmed when I get back home and have laundry to wade through, emails to catch up on, groceries to restock, websites to build, etc., etc.

It was a nice, relaxing vacation. We had a blast!!! I always try to reflect on my life and learn something new while I’m on vacation. I love to spend time on the beach and just think. There’s really no better place to just think than the beach, in my opinion.

What I learned on this trip was that I’ve really begun to design my life just like I want it. I LOVE what I do and how my life is working. I was homesick by the second day. I wanted to get back home and work on websites and answer email and get back into my routines. I used to dread coming back home and going back to work. But, not anymore! I realized I really do have a life that I truly love!! And THAT’S an awesome feeling!!

That didn’t keep me from being overwhelmed when I got back home. But, as I sat and looked at all the stuff I had to do, I smiled and said, “Home Sweet Home!”

Look Out Florida! Here We Come!

One good thing about owning your own online business and working from home is that you can pretty much go whereever you want, whenever you want.  As long as I have a computer and internet access, I can take my business on the road.

The kids and I are headed to Florida for a week.  I will only work as little as I have to work and enjoy the sun, sand and ocean the rest of the time.  This is one of my favorite parts of having an internet business!

Does that mean you shouldn’t contact me if you have problems with your website?  By all means, NO!  Please contact me for anything you need.  Just be warned!  I may answer your email from the beach!!

National Karate Tournament

Wednesday, June 14th, 2006

We just got back from another karate tournament.  This time it was the Bluegrass Nationals in Louisville, KY.  I only had one child competing this time, Matthew - my oldest (13).  He did well!  He received 3rd place in sparring in his division (Intermediate, 12-13yo short boys).  I am SO proud of him.  Of course, we feel that he should have gotten first place since his loss was caused by a warning he received (with which we didn’t agree).  But, then again, all’s fair in love and war, right?
