My how time flies!

Where has this month gone? It seems like only yesterday that we were screaming “Happy New Year!!” It has been a busy month for me. Which is good. My business – Promised Land Services, LLC – has really taken off. I’m getting more and more websites to work on. And I’m writing more and more scripts for folks so that they can sell their ebooks or keep up with their customers and clients. I’ve also had the opportunity to help others create their own websites and learn more about keeping those websites ranking high in the search engines. I really enjoy my work because I do get to help so many people successfully work from home.

But, in my busy-ness, I’m realizing that I tend to get my priorities out of whack. What good will it do if my business becomes a success, or if I help a million people, if I end up neglecting my family and myself? How can I help others if I don’t help myself first? Eventually, I won’t be able to help anyone if I’m not in good shape. The heart pumps blood to itself first so that it can be of more service to the other body parts afterwards. My children are the sunshine of my life. And what good will money be if I lose them in the process? They must come first. And more importantly, what good will any of it be if I don’ t put God first? Nothing else matters in comparison.

So as we head knee-deep into 2005, let’s make sure we keep our priorities straight! Let’s make sure that we put first things first.

“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?” Mark 8:36 NASB
