I believe that 2005 will be a prosperous and healthy New Year for us! My prayer is that it will be for you as well! I feel that this year will hold exciting things for us because I’m going to find more of Him this year. I’m not going to stop searching and seeking knowing that no matter how much of Himself He reveals, there’s still so much more to experience. There will never be an end to His infinite glory and power and love and revelation. He is so much more awesome that my mind can ever imagine.
I’ve decided to study just a few verses each day and learn as much as I can from them. I plan to take the verses chronologically through the old and new testament. I want to study a little of each testament, each day. I just feel that there is so much to learn and I’m going to be following the Holy Spirit’s lead completely - if I feel that I should read a lot to get the big picture, then I will read a lot. If I feel that it should be a little - just a word or verse that I need to focus on, then that’s what I’ll do too. I’m excited about this wonderful adventure that He’s starting me on!
I actually started doing this yesterday. I read Matthew 1:1, Mark 1:1 and John 1:1-2. I just focused on those 4 verses. I have 4 main things that I want to focus on as I study this year. I want to find all the truth that I can about 1. God, 2. Jesus, 3. The Holy Spirit, and 4. Prosperity and Abundance. I really feel that God is going to reveal a wealth of truth to me in all 4 of these areas. I think I’ve been looking at all these subjects through a filter of what I’ve grown up believing about them all. I hunger now for real truth. So, I’m trying to throw out everything I’ve believed in the past and start over. I want to see God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit with new eyes. I also want to see God’s views on prosperity and abundance with new eyes. I plan to post here as often as possible with my findings.
That doesn’t mean I will always be right. I know that I miss what God is trying to tell me a lot. But, I also know that if my heart is in the right place, my Lord and Master and Love of my life will correct me in His time and His way. He’s done so many times before so gently and lovingly that I’m not scared to be wrong anymore. I’m scared to not try at all. I’m scared to stand still. Failure is a good thing because it is an excellent teacher.
Back to the scripture readings that I’ve concentrated on and meditated over for the last 24 hours (the scriptures I noted above). The one thing I noticed more than any other in these verses were the references to Jesus. Of course, I’ve seen these and KNOWN these things forever, but it really makes a difference when you really linger on them. I believe that much of the prosperity, abundance, peace, joy, love and all the other great satisfactions that God gives are mostly found in praise to Him. So I want to spend time now praising Jesus for the references to Him that I’ve studied on for the last several hours.
Jesus is the Word. From the beginning He has been the Word. He was with God in the beginning. He has always been. God created the world with the Word. All things were created through Jesus. I looked up this Word in the Greek Dictionary - it means an embodied idea. Words are packages. This package of Jesus is God’s Word to man. What an awesome thought! Jesus is the way that God get’s His ideas to man. Jesus is the physical manifestation of God. Jesus is the bridge that closes the gap between the spiritual world and the physical world - without that bridge, we can not get to God.
Jesus was the Messiah which means Christ or Anointed One. He is the one fortold throughout the Old Testament. He is the answer to all man’s problems. He is the Savior - the only one that can rescue us from ourselves.
He was the son of David, the son of Abraham, the son of God. He had a great lineage both physically and spiritually. He is the Son of God. He came straight from heaven as a physical manifestation of God Himself. He is born of God - He IS God.
He was and is Good News!! The word gospel means good news! Jesus was good news to the Jews and He is good news to all of us! He is the savior of the world if we will only accept what He has done for us! What an awesome man! What an awesome God! What an awesome Savior, Lord, and Master. I am no slave to an uncaring, unloving, slave-driver! My Master loves me more than I could ever imagine. My Master cares for every small and large detail of my life. What better news that that??
Today, I praise You Jesus for being the Word, the Messiah, the Anointed One, the son of David, son of Abraham, Son of God -THE Good News!!
Now, I must get to work. I have big plans for PLS this year. My goal is to help as many people as I can be able to create an income from home so that we can come home to our children and raise them the way God wants us to raise them. Each child is so different and needs so many different things. I’ve loved watching my children grow and I’ve gotten to know them so well. Time goes so fast. I’m grateful that God has allowed me to stay home with them. And now I’m grateful that He has allowed me to work from home so that I can be with them and yet still provide for them in every way - physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. They will be gone way too soon. I praise God for allowing me to be able to stay with them while they are here. Thank You Jesus!
